In a nice little yarn, State Liberal leaders from around Australia will be meeting in Melbourne today to discuss how they can possibly get back into office, somewhere! With no Liberals currently in power at federal or state level, the lot of them aim to work together to strengthen the party's position at all levels. At the moment, the Liberal/National Party signify the drought - both are craving but none are receiving any.
In NSW at least, they might not need to focus too strongly, as it seems the Libs don't have to do anything, the opinion rating of Iemma’s Labor continues to plummet, scandal after scandal. The bastards even want to sell off electricity. You know, the more NSW Labor sell off, the less responsibly they have to govern, thus their presence at all becomes less and less. Their little privatisation experiment is contributing to the centralisation debate they despise so dearly.
