Marxist Rebels Free Ex-Politician

January 11, 2008.
Two women hostages were freed by Colombia's Marxist rebels after years in the jungle, raising hopes for dozens more languishing in secret camps.
A helicopter, provided by Venezuela, flew deep into Colombia to pick up the former vice-presidential candidate, Clara Rojas, and ex-congresswoman, Consuelo Gonzalez. The couple were then ferried back across the border where a plane took them to Caracas.
Strangley, it was the first time Latin America's oldest rebel group, the Columbian Marxists has freed any of its high-profile hostages, who include a former presidential candidate, French-Colombian Ingrid Betancourt. The rebels are well renowned for the cocaine trade in South America.
The rebels' gesture spurred hopes for an exchange of guerrillas held in government jails for hostages, including Ms Betancourt, whose case is followed closely in France.

This is a good news and I applaud you for posting it.
However it may be helpful it you fix the typo in the heading.
The Marist Brothers are a religious but I don't think that they have become the Marist Fighters yet.
