Boyfriend's Who Kill?

I'll tell you something, it doesn't matter how many stories I read about boyfriend’s who kill, it still never seems to sink in properly. Killing a partner sort of defeats the purpose of having one in the first place doesn't it? Those who are not mentally capable of being in a relationship really shouldn’t be in one. Anti-depressants should do the trick.

This rant is on the back of a story today where police were forced to arrest a Campbelltown man who allegedly ran over his girlfriend in Canberra, causing her death.


Detective Sergeant Kennedy said the pair was in a relationship and visiting family and friends in Canberra for New Year's Eve celebrations. He also said that there is no evidence, thus far, from witnesses to suggest that there was an argument prior to the incident. So, for all I know this could be a mere tragic mistake; but I wouldn't be surprised either way.

Also, was it just me or were the Sydney fireworks last night grossly over-rated? News footage from New York and Berlin looked 10 times more spectacular.
